Your data
Privacy policy
Last updated: 19 July 2026
Find My Fitter ("we", "us") runs findmyfitter.com, an independent UK directory of golf custom fitters. This policy explains what information we hold, why we hold it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain because that is the point.
Who we are
Find My Fitter is operated by Dead Level Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales and the data controller for the information described in this policy. Dead Level Ltd is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under reference ZC187896. Our registered address is St. James House, 65 Mere Green Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B75 5BY. For any privacy question or request, use our contact form and mark it for the attention of the data controller.
The information we hold
Fitter listings. Our directory is compiled from publicly available sources, including manufacturers' official fitting locators, Google Places and professional bodies. For each fitter this is business information such as name, address, phone number, website and the brands they are listed as fitting. This is business contact data, not private personal data, and it is already published elsewhere.
Messages you send us. If you use the contact or suggest an edit forms, we receive the name, email address and message you provide so we can reply. These are delivered to us by email and are not added to any marketing list.
Claim and notify signups. If you ask to be notified about claiming a listing, we store the email address you give us, the listing it relates to, and any optional name or note, so we can contact you when that feature is ready. We store this in a database hosted in Western Europe.
Technical and usage data. Like any website we process limited technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the service secure and to understand aggregate usage. Our analytics are privacy first and do not use tracking cookies or build a profile of you.
Why we hold it, and our lawful basis
- Running the directory (fitter listings): our legitimate interest in providing a useful public directory of businesses.
- Replying to you (form messages): our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you have chosen to send.
- Claim and notify signups: your consent, given when you submit the form, to be contacted about that specific feature. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Security and analytics: our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and working well.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, database, spam protection via Turnstile, and privacy first analytics) and Resend (delivering our emails). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
Form messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Claim and notify signups are kept until we launch claiming and have contacted you, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. We review held data periodically and delete what we no longer need.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. To do any of these, or to unsubscribe from a claim and notify signup, use our contact form and we will action it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Fitters: correcting your listing
If you run a business that appears here and something is wrong, or you would prefer not to be listed, tell us through suggest an edit and we will update or remove it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data we will update this page and the date at the top.
